At one end of the micro coil remote line is the brass fitting, connected to the quick disconnect. This end is screwed into the SACS power unit after removing the SACS power unit cup from the SACS power unit head. At the other end is the universal fill adapter – the unit with the knob. The unit with the knob screws to the refillable CO2 bottle and is used to turn the bottle flow on and off.
Before you mount the unit with the knob on the refillable CO2 bottle, you have to make sure that the knob is unscrewed counter-clockwise and, with your finger, push the brass detent up. The detent should move freely. If you can not move the detent back with your fingers, it’s a defective installation, and you must return it to the manufacturer! (Just the unit with the knob), If the detent is working freely, when you install it on the bottle and turn it clockwise to open the pin on the valve, it is in ready-to –use condition. Do NOT open the valve until you have the LANIGAN Micro-coil remote line attached to the SACS power unit. When you are ready to stop using the SACS power unit or disconnect from the refillable CO2 bottle, turn the knob counter-clockwise until it feels very loose. Now finish using or releasing the air in the system, and when there is no more air coming out of the SACS power unit, the system should be empty, and no waste should occur. Also push the red trigger lock on the SACS power unit into the up position.
1. First, remove the SACS power unit CO2 cup and screw the brass fitting into the bottom of the SACS power unit. The brass fitting only needs to be tight enough to seal against the o-ring, do NOT over tighten.
2. Attach the quick disconnect fitting to the brass fitting, Then feed the micro-coil hose thru the bottom hole of the SACS CO2 cup and attach the hose to the quick disconnect fitting, check connections, screw the SACS CO2 cup back onto the SACS power unit
3. Screw the bottle to the on- off valve (unit with the knob). Attach the other end of the micro-coil hose to the quick disconnect fitting to the unit with the knob. Check the connections. Screw the knob down clockwise until it bottoms out (do not force). Unscrew the knob (counter- clockwise) one to one and a half turns. Check for leaking fittings, if leaks are found turn the knob counter- clockwise to stop the air flow, when there is no more air coming out. Fix the leaking fittings and then screw the knob down clockwise until it bottoms out (do not force). Unscrew the knob (counter- clockwise) one to one and a half turns.
4. Your SACS system is now ready to use.
The unit with the knob is called the fill adapter. Before you mount it on the CO2 bottle, you have to make sure that the knob is unscrewed counter clockwise and, with your finger, push the brass detent up. The detent should move freely. If you can not move the detent back with your finger, it’s a defective installation, and you must send it back to the manufacturer (unit with the knob). If the detent is working freely, when you install the unit with the knob on the bottle and turn it clockwise to open the pin on the valve, it is in ready to use condition. Do NOT open the valve until you have the LANIGAN Micro-coil remote line attached to the SACS power unit. When you are ready to stop using it turn the knob counter clockwise until it feels very loose. Now finish using or releasing the air in the system, and when there is no air coming out of the SACS power unit, the system should be empty, and no waste should occur. Also push the red trigger lock on the SACS power unit into the up position.
Remember, most damage to O-rings is caused when you are trying to install o-ring bearing parts without properly lubricating the o-ring and trying to shove the part in a place that’s dry or lubricated. After you lubricate the part that has the o-ring, also lubricate the area that the o-ring is going into. Do not jam this part in, but push it gently into place to allow the o-ring to accommodate itself. O-rings are flexible, and if you give them time, they will flow into place- when lubricated. The main causes of damage to o-rings are the lack of lubrication and the presence of dirt, which acts like sandpaper to erode the o-ring. Time and use will also cause o-ring failures.
